Jack moved to Bradford with his partner two years ago, choosing to buy their first home together here due to the town’s community feel and beautiful setting. A former sports journalist, Jack now works as a communications manager at the University of Bath. Jack plays cricket for the Bradford on Avon first team and is the current captain.

Jack says: “Moving to Bradford on Avon and spending a lot of time here during many lockdowns, has made me passionate about maintaining and improving our wonderful town’s unique appeal. Since moving here, we’ve explored every corner of our town with our new rescue dog Duke and have fallen in love with it.

“I’m choosing to stand for the town council to make sure the voices of younger people in our community get heard and as a keen sportsman, I would love to see the sport facilities improved. I’m determined to make our town as accessible as possible so everyone can enjoy its facilities with ease straight from their front door.

“As a town councillor I’d like to make our town a thriving hub for the local community. In a time when we are all staying more locally, I believe we all now have a heightened interest in making it the best possible place it can be to live and work.”
